Instantly the chemistry is there. I loved the banter between the two characters. Also, the stories are very similar, but that is something, if done well, I can look past.
Broken Dreams picks up where Broken left off. There is no real story before Reed and Courtney are professing their love for one another. I get that we could look at Broken as the set up, but if I am going to read an entire book about a couple, give me a little more anticipation before throwing the characters together.
That being said, the set-up really isn't the problem. The plots of why Reed and Courtney were fighting their love are never really fleshed out. Yes, they go into Courtney's a bit more, but the scene where everything comes out is anti-climatic to say the least.
